Covid: EDUVISO helps doctors in Osh (Kyrgyzstan)

EDUVISO financed and organized a quarantine and resting place for doctors and nurses in the city of Osh (Kyrgyz Republic)

EDUVISO Germany, in cooperation with EDUVISO Kyrgyzstan and the TES Hotel Osh, is supporting the fight against coronavirus in Osh. In this regard, the TES Hotel opened its doors a few days ago for doctors and nurses of the Osh City Hospital during the period of their rest and quarantine. Support is initially provided for a month.

Now there are 17 medical workers in day care; they come to eat and rest, since the hotel is located next to the Osh City Hospital. Another 10 nurses and doctors are under observation and quarantine in the hotel. Currently, they work for two weeks and then quarantine for the same amount of time.

Torsten Swoboda, CEO of EDUVISO Germany, says: “We have been thinking for a long time about how we can help the people of Kyrgyzstan during this difficult time. The supply of devices or medicines from Germany to Kyrgyzstan is currently very difficult. Unfortunately, we cannot quickly send German doctors to Kyrgyzstan due to the cessation of air traffic.

By providing overnight accommodation for doctors and nurses in a comfortable environment, we can make our contribution so that tired doctors and nurses can take care of their health and recover during quarantine (observation). This will save their time and money, and will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of doctors’ work. We understand how important it is to provide conditions for doctors and nurses to undergo observation away from their families.”
